Marita Hovers is the majority shareholder and managing director of TAMSTEK.

She has over a decade of experience in the tissue culture industry having previously been a research agronomist in Papua New Guinea and New Britain after having attained an MSc in Plant breeding and Tropical Crop Science from Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands.

She is also regularly involved in consultancy and advisory engagements in the field of micro-propagation with laboratories and NGOs worldwide.
